The Audi 90 was an upmarket version of the Audi 80 sedan. Audi 90 was reintroduced as an upmarket, more luxurious variant of the standard model, much like earlier during the B2 (Type 81) series. The 90 also featured the first 20v engine from Audi after the turbo engine used in the Audi Sport Quattro. This engine produced 170Bhp though the car was quite heavy, especially in quattro form, which dulled the performance somewhat.
