1981 Vanagon Westfalia
This Westy has:
New paint.
Economical 2.0L four-cylinder engine
Economical four-speed manual transmission.
It starts runs and drives great.
The engine has been changed from Fuel Injection to carburator. No computer or old wiring problems. The engine also has new coil, gas lines, fuel pump and filter, etc.
Over $1000.00 spent on engine parts alone.
The steering box and transmission also have had work done to them.

There are two tables for eating and cards. They easily swivel out of the way.
The top pops open and has a fold out bed. The top's canvas is in ok condition, but could use a screen.
The front and back seats have new covers.
There is lots of space to place your belongings all around including the interior light holding long compartment, several cubby holes, underneath the bench, a closet, pantry and food shelves, and a drawer.
Has a am/fm cassette player, along w a tv/vcr console which is nice for long drives.
It has, an owner's manual, spare tire and plenty of added extras.
The classic Westfalia is generally regarded as the best-outfitted Volkswagen camper ever made, in both conception and quality of construction -- the Rolls-Royce of campervans! Design-wise, everything is where it should be and everything works.

Rack-and-pinion steering, not power-assisted.

Also has a trailer hitch and heavy-duty steel rear bumper.
It's licensed as a motor home, so the insurance is a lot cheaper.
Good running condition. Serviced by Peter's Garage.
It was certified last October.
I only use premium gas.
The oil was just changed.
The price is firm, as other vans from this year go for up to $12000.00.
