Body and engine are in good shape - all accessories work but the vehicle may need a bit of electrical work to pass a safety-test - the intake air temp (IAT) sensor was replaced in July but the powertrain control module still gets bad temp readings, causing hard shifting from park into 1st gear. This is not uncommon for a Grand Am.
UPDATE: IAT problem has been fixed. Car runs fine now and the hard shifting is gone!
